I’m Stacy, owner of Junk’n Treasures Wedding & Event Rentals in East Texas. I was born and raised a true Texan as evidenced by my accent. No hiding it!
I’m a wife, mother and solopreneur. That means one woman show. My latest and greatest gig is becoming “Granna” to our first grandchild. The greatest title ever!
I retired in June of 2017 after 25 years in the education field to pursue my business full time which actually launched back in 2015 pretty much by accident. My husband is really responsible for the launch of my business. After multiple requests from friends, family etc, asking to borrow stuff all of the time, he mentioned one evening that I should “rent” all of “this stuff”.
I’m so grateful I am able to wake each day and go to work for myself and my clients.
For as long as I can remember I have had the niche for creativity and visualization. Together with the love of antique stores, flea markets, garage sales, and the occasional “dumpster diving” how little did I know that one day a business would be born that allowed me the opportunity to encompass the gifts God has instilled in me and the hobbies I enjoy. I mean, who knew!!
That moment a client or bride says to me “your pieces MADE our wedding or event décor so beautiful” is priceless , gratifying and makes my heart smile.
When a client can’t get the vision of a scenario of décor that I’m sharing with them it is a common practice to simulate or stage a table setting for a client right there on the floor of the warehouse. I love those moments when our collaboration comes to life. Their eyes light up, a smile comes over their face and they say “THAT’S IT”. THAT makes my heart smile. I’m a natural visionary person. I have come to realize that is not everyone’s gift.
A mom needing to set up her son’s SENIOR table at church. She tells me she has no clue on what to do. She brings the pieces that they want to utilize, we literally stage that, she takes pictures so she can reconstruct that setting. I couldn’t be there due to other obligations. She sent pictures after the event, so thankful. It was awesome.
